Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali Poster Accepted at the 41st IHFWHC 2017

Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali in Taichung City was extremely honored to have a poster presentation accepted at the 41st International Hospital Federation World Hospital Congress (IHFWHC 2017) that was held in Taipei International Convention Center, in Taipei, Taiwan, from November 7 ~ 9, 2017. Due to the fact that hospital's abstract entitled, "Social Media Marketing for ¡§Mother & Baby-Friendly¡¨ Services of a Hospital in Taiwan" was accepted at the yearly get-together, Mark K. Chan, the International Medical Services Consultant, attended the congress on behalf of the hospital. After being a member of the International Hospital Federation for 47 years, it is the first time that the World Hospital Congress is hosted by Taiwan Hospital Association. More than 850 hospital officials and experts from 48 different countries took part in this year¡¦s event.
The theme of the 41st IHFWHC was ¡§Patient-friendly & Smarter Healthcare¡¨, which was divided into 10 topics at the conference. The 3-day event featured various activities for the participants, such as the Main Conference (5 Plenary sessions; 7 Concurrent sessions featuring 70 speakers from 14 countries - U.S., France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, Australia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Japan, Hong Kong & Taiwan; 29 Free Paper sessions; 189 Poster sessions from 12 countries ¡V U.S., Australia, Spain, Portugal, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, China & Taiwan); Pre-Congress Meeting on Economic Theory and the Health System; Pre-Congress on Economic Theory and Hospital Management; IHF Award Ceremony; Hospital Site Visits to 3 Hospitals in Taiwan (Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, and Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital & Advantech IoT Campus); Congress Opening Ceremony; Welcome Reception; Gala Dinner; Congress Closing Ceremony; Farewell Party; etc.
Since 2015, International Hospital Federation has been organizing the World Hospital Congress each year. After having the opportunity to have poster presentations for the first time at the International Hospital Federation Asian Pacific Regional Conference (IHFAPRC), which took place in Taipei 2006 and another poster presentation at the World Hospital Congress in Seoul 2007, this is the third time (after a break of 10 years) that Mr. Chan had a poster presentation at this year¡¦s Congress. Last year, the World Hospital Congress was held in Durban, South Africa; this year, it was held in Taipei, Taiwan; and next year, it has already been planned to take place in October 2018 in Brisbane, Australia, where Jen-Ai Hospital hopes to have another opportunity to present its projects at the 42nd World Hospital Congress.
