TAICHUNG, JEN-AI HOSPITAL - DALI
It's been 6 years since Jen-Ai Hospital International Patient Center (JAH IPC) has been serving the medical needs of the international community in Taichung. To commemorate its 6 years of existence, IPC has recruited a new Japanese Project Coordinator to implement its "Japanese Medical Service". Although not Joint Commission International (JCI) Accredited, Jen-Ai Hospital – Dali has been primarily caring for the expatriates and foreigners living in Central Taiwan; and the occasional visitors / tourists that visit from abroad. Since its launch of IPC services in September 2003, Jen-Ai Hospital – Dali has the distinction of creating the first "International Patient Center" and having the most number of international patients with different nationalities in the whole of Taiwan. With medical travel / medical tourism being all the rage in recent years, Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali was named one of the top 5 hospitals in Taiwan by "International Medical Travel Journal" Magazine / www.imtjonline.com , www.healthtourisminasia.com, and www.ArabMedicalTourist.com.
With more than 9,250 international patient visits to date, from more than 2,000 international patients coming from 78 different nationalities, the highest record of patient visits in one month is currently at 269 people, showing consistent growth over the years. Jen-Ai Hospital International Patient Center (JAH IPC) was created to provide on-site interpretations in English and Japanese, although interpretations in 20+ languages can be arranged through bilingual staffs and volunteers. Of particular interest is the bilingual information in 15 different languages regarding medical prescription instructions, side effects and special precautions that the hospital is able to provide to patients. With the help of its English websites and other resources, JAH IPC makes every effort to ensure the safety of its international patients that visit the hospital.
