Taking advantage of his business trip to Thailand, Mark Chan, Program Director of International Patient Center, visited Bangkok Pattaya Hospital ( http://www.bph.co.th ) in Pattaya. At the Asian Hospital Management Awards 2006, this hospital won the Most Outstanding Project in the Marketing, PR and Promotions category for its Multilingual Website project. In addition, Bangkok Pattaya Hospital prides itself that their International Department is able to provide interpreters in more than 20 languages for the patients that seek medical attention at their hospital.

Mark Chan attended the 6th Annual Hospital Management Asia (HMA) Conference, a 2 day event that took place in Pattaya, Thailand. There were 604 delegates from 31 countries representing 262 organizations, at this year's conference. Once again, it broke the record of having the most number of delegates to date that have attended the Asia's premier learning conference for hospital managers. After Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali was recognized at the Asian Hospital Management Awards 2004, this is the 4th time that Mark Chan is participating in this annual international conference.
