2004, Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali participated in various activities
to further develop the International Patient Center program
at the hospital. The following are just some of the activities
that the Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali participated in during December:

Site Visit to Kameda Medical Center in Tokyo, Japan
|

Mark Chan, Program Director of International
Patient Center, visited Kameda Medical Center (http://www.kameda.or.jp/hp/index.php
) in Tokyo, Japan. This medical center is one of
the premier medical centers in Japan and consistently
ranks as one of the top 5 hospitals, in such publications
as Nikkei Business and Trendy. The center is currently
building a new state-of-the-art complex called the
"K-Tower", which is scheduled to open in the Spring
of 2005.

IWAT Christmas Bazaar event |

Jennifer Chu, Project Manager of
International Patient Center, along with May Chen,
the new Project Manager of the International Patient
Center, attended the IWAT Christmas Bazaar at the
Evergreen Laurel Hotel. This is the first time for
May to attend the event, which was held by an international
organization and it gave her the opportunity to
meet other Japanese ladies. All money collected
at this bazaar from sales of Christmas decorations,
silver accessories, souvenirs and desserts will
be going to local charities in Taichung.

Site Visit to Okinawa Chubu Hospital in Okinawa,
Japan |

Mark Chan visited Okinawa Chubu
Hospital ( http://www.hosp.pref.okinawa.jp/chubu/index.html
), which is considered to be the best hospital in
Okinawa. The hospital has ranked high amongst other
medical centers in Japan, as it is well-known for
its residency program, which is affiliated with
the University of Hawaii. Mark Chan also visited
one of the graduates of the Fukuoka University School
of Medicine that came for a site visit to Jen-Ai
Hospital - Dali in April 2004. Daniel Kohira Chan
is now a first year resident at this prestigious
institution.
