Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali Awarded "2006 Good English Environment Award"

ˇ@ˇ@Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali has launched the first International Patient Center (IPC) in Taiwan to accommodate the growing medical needs of the foreign communities in Taichung. Jen-Ai Hospital entered the competition with goals to develop its English environment and was once again awarded with "Very Good English-friendly Environment Award". As a result of winning this award, it is clear to see that IPC's efforts in creating an English-friendly environment have been approved.
ˇ@ˇ@The evaluation items include: 1. bilingual signs; 2. bilingual information and consultation; 3. bilingual staffs training; 4. bilingual websites; and 5. creative methods in creating an English-friendly environment. The evaluation is based on accuracy, completeness, functionality, appearance, and convenience. After two rounds of evaluations - written report and survey visit, the commission selected several outstanding organizations. Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali is one of the very few organizations in the private sector to win this coveted award.
ˇ@ˇ@Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission held the "2006 English Carnival" on the 5th Floor of Taipei 101Building from November 28 ~ November 30, 2006. The award ceremony was held on November 28 at 2:00 pm, along with the carnival opening. Chief Commissioner, Mr. Shih gave out 33 awards to organizations winning the "Excellent" category. Joanna Chang, Project Coordinator of International Patient Center, attended this event.
ˇ@ˇ@The "2006 English Carnival" promoted the idea of "Taiwan Global Village". The carnival consisted of three sections: 1. bilingual signs; 2. performance; and 3. multimedia display. The themes included various measures, achievements, bilingual websites, tourism, employment, housing, traffic, news, education, medical care and international promotion. In total, about 22 organizations participated in the event.
