¡@¡@In October 2004, Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali participated in various activities to further develop the International Patient Center program at the hospital again. The following are just some of the activities that the Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali participated in October:

Saturday, October 2 ~ Friday, October 8, 2004 -
Site Visits to Hospitals in Sabah, Malaysia & Bangkok, Thailand
  Mark K. Chan, Program Director of International Patient Center, visited a number of hospitals in Sabah, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand, while touring the Southeast Asia. Hospitals that Mark Chan visited, included: Sabah Medical Centre ( http://www.sabah.org.my/smc/ ), one of the most advanced hospitals in Sabah, East Malaysia; and Bumrungrad Hospital ( http://www.bumrungrad.com ), the first hospital in Asia to be awarded the prestigious Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) and widely recognized as being one of the best hospitals in Asia.

 
 

Friday, October 8, 2004 -
Research, Development & Evaluation Commission's Survey Visit to Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali
  A group of 4 judges from Research, Development & Evaluation Commission, Executive Yuan, visited Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali to evaluate the bilingual environment fostered by the hospital. The evaluation included a 15-minute presentation and 1-hour guided tour of the facilities, coordinated by Jennifer Chu, Project Manager of International Patient Center. All in all, the judges were pleased with their survey visit, but offered some recommendations on how to further develop the bilingual environment at the hospital.

 

Wednesday, October 20, 2004 -
International SOS & Corning Taiwan's Survey Visit to Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali
  In order to ensure that Corning expatriate's medical needs can be adequately provided in Taichung, Dr. Long-jin Chi, International SOS Coordinating Doctor; Dr. James L. Schuppert, Corning Worldwide Health & Benefits Director; and Penny Lin, Corning Administrative Assistant; visited Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali to conduct a 1-hour survey visit. The visit included a thorough inspection of the Emergency Department, Outpatient Department, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and VIP Inpatient Room, with explanations provided by Dr. Lin, Chief of Emergency Department; Dr. Chen, Cardiologist; and the IPC Program Director.
