Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali Resumes English Class for Hospital Staffs

2004/06/08
BY JENNIFER CHU
TAICHUNG, JEN-AI HOSPITAL - DALI

¡@¡@Beginning June 8, 2004, basic English conversation class will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, every Tuesday for hospital staffs. The 3-month session is taught by Jennifer Chu and the class will be conducted on an ongoing basis. The purpose of this class is to improve the English conversational skills of hospital employees so that they can better serve the international patients that visit Jen-Ai Hospital - Dali and take part in the internationalization of the hospital. This new class is a continuation of English classes that were taught by Mark Chan, which was cut short by the SARS scare, last year.

¡@¡@All students are encouraged to speak English inside the classroom - even speaking in short sentences will be viewed as a "good start" and heavily praised. Due to the limited class time and the opportunity for every student to practice, the class is limited to 30 students. All employees are welcome to register for the next session, which will be held in September 2004, to practice their English conversation skills. In the early stages, the class will focus on basic conversation and then will go into different levels progressively. In addition, individual English class will be held upon receiving requests from departments, in order to meet the specific training needs that they require.
